What colors should I paint my room?

your favorite color. I painted mine violet and one wall black along with the door and socets. Browns are always nice light and medium, something you like though, its your roomWhat colors should I paint my room?
it's up to you! for a large-looking room, paint it a neutral and bright colour such as white or a light yellow. generally i prefer themed rooms, without using contrasting colours (unless they match the theme). For a warm/cosy looking room I would use a chocolate brown for one wall and white/cream for another. Or you could use black and white for a more contemporary looking room. If you're aiming for a more exotic theme, try painting the room different shades of your favourite colour (ie. lighter shades in one area and darker shades in another. it could even be on the same wall!). Never use different colours in the same room (ie. red and blue or green and orange) as it looks odd and get's boring very quickly. What colors should I paint my room?
if you like neon , just take green and any green related color.
i would go with something bright and happy, but then stick with neuterals like white and tan for the accessories to not make it too busy!
Before you choose the colors for the walls, you need to consider the things that are already in your room:

1. Furniture

2. Fabrics (comforter cover, throw pillows and window treatments, etc.)

3. Paintings or posters

4. Carpet

5. The size of your room

6. How bright or dim the room is when the sun is up
dark purple and gold.

What's a good color to paint my gameroom ?

This will be the main tv room. Right now the doors downstairs are maroon. Any suggestions ? Thanks. What's a good color to paint my gameroom ?
I love bordeoux - it's like a very dark red. or even dark blue, they really give a nice ambience to any room but specially rooms that are used not as bed rooms! What's a good color to paint my gameroom ?
Okay. This may seem out of wack to you. But I have seen this.

Burgundy and Cream stripes (Stripes should be least 7 to 9 inches apart)

It looks fantastic. But only go 3/4s of the way down to the floor.

paint the rest in a Burgundy colour. It looks smashing.

However you will need a large mirror up against somewhere on the wall to make the room look larger and a few paintings or mementos on the wall

Bar would look great with a dart board etc somewhere and a few accessories as well.

Maybe a plant or two somewhere

Good luck
beige or a sandy yellow.
Paint the whole room maroon and white. Go Aggies!!!!
are you planning on keeping the doors maroon?? if you are, maybe a soft or pale green!!!

red is a color that is related to warmth and fun and activity and excitement!!!! if you are a red person!!! i know i am not!!!

also, do you have a pool table?? sometimes it is good to concentrate on one object in the room, and design according to that!!

happy decorating!!!!!!!
I think some Green with White!!!
Plaid.
I like a warm grey.
Its a gameroom, paint it something very bright. A orange sounds really good.
hunter green, it's sportman like

Whst is the best color to paint your bedroom with a neutral or cool tone?

Hey! Instead of painting everything in ';pale'; ones, why don't you live up your room a bit by hanging some pics? Maybe with some abstract ones or natural ones, I bliv that would be more romantic than just mixing the cool colors together though, http://www.pasaya.com/language/en/ecatal鈥?/a>

Have a look at theses pictures though, it might be helpfulWhst is the best color to paint your bedroom with a neutral or cool tone?
They actually say that cool tones are better, because they are more relaxing, and calming. My room has blues and greens, which seem to work well for me. Hope you find the right shade for youself!Whst is the best color to paint your bedroom with a neutral or cool tone?
cool
cool because when you sleep it will be eisier beacause you feel like your in the ocean.
'They' say cool colors [ blues, greens, purples ] are best for sleeping rooms because they are calm and relaxing.

Neutral walls would include white, ivory, gray, caramel. black, brown - which could be boring, but not necessarily deprive you of sleep.

I have also used warm pastels [ banana yellow, peach ] and it hasn't affected my sleep!

1] buy a bedding cover you really like, and match curtains to it

2] pick a light to medium shade from the bedding that you LOVE, and paint the walls that color.

3] don't use very dark, or very neon - those WILL affect your

sleep!
';Natural Tan'; by Sherwin Williams is nice neutral tone. Check it out:

  • What is a good color to paint my room.?

im getting black and white sheets and stuff. i dont want black or white walls. i was thinking a darker teal maybeWhat is a good color to paint my room.?
Color is an extremely personal decision. I happen to love teal. The black and white sheets will pop against the dark, cool color background of the teal. Since a bedroom is supposed to be restful if you choose a ';green'; teal I think it will be more so. Remember to choose a shade you truly like. Many people are afraid of using deep colors, and may try to talk you into choosing a lighter tint. Try to envision the overall impact of the color combinations before making your decision. But, remember you can always repaint if it comes out different than you planned. What is a good color to paint my room.?
I'm not sure of the color ,But this might help.... If it is a small or smaller type room use a light color it will make the room look bigger, The larger the room the darker you can go... also hang paint samples in the room for afew days in different light to make sure you don't regret the color later on....

wheat straw.... made by Porter Paints

    Be Blessed!
Really you should stay away from the darker colors because they tend to make rooms feel smaller and are colder/depressing.

Questions that come up are what is the rest of the decor of the room? hardwood floors or carpet? What type of feeling do you want while in this room?

I would suggest earth tones. The hue would depend on the style of the furniture. Toupe should work. It has a greenish hue to it and goes with most anything.
Black and white go with anything. Just paint the room a bold shade of your favorite color.
    maybe dark green or blue

I am doing the nursery in pink & brown bedding. What paint color should I use? I dont want pink.?

Check out the ';Peep'; design in the Autumn Palette on the first page under ';Personalized Art'; on http://www.mysweetandsour.com It features a brown and pink design with a yellow background. You might even want to get a personalized sign that accents the d茅cor.I am doing the nursery in pink %26amp; brown bedding. What paint color should I use? I dont want pink.?
My girlfriend just did her nursery in an Olive green. Before I seen it I thought oh my what was she thinking and then I saw the finished put together nursery and it took my breath away, sooo beautiful and tasteful. However tho I'm not sure if it would work with the pink try a baby soft blue.I am doing the nursery in pink %26amp; brown bedding. What paint color should I use? I dont want pink.?
If it is a dark brown, I would look at a lighter tan. You could consider a 1/2 and 1/2 with a dark brown on the bottom with a light on top, then contrast the two with a strip between them. That way if you wanted too, you could sneek in a bit of pink.

If it is a lighter brown, then I would think that a complimentary color like a preivous answer stated like olive or something would be nice.
i wud just do it in the browns maybe chocolate because it is a nutral color and it goes good with pretty much everything!
do the walls in a pale lilac. it will compliment both pink and brown nicely.

try these colors: ';inspired lilac'; and ';joyful lilac';, by Sherwin Williams
a white or a pale baby blue maybe
Do it in a light sand color so it doesn't fight with the pink and brown and also will make your bedding stand out!!! I'm sure it is going to be precious.

How Sweet! Good luck with the nursery and the BABY!
i would go with a tan or something
    You could do brown strips.
How about a light brown? Like ';sand trap'; by sherwin williams. check it out:

    Picking the right paint color?

i just recently got new bedding. the sheets are my favorite and they are a cream and brown zebra print. the comforter is a brown satin stripe. my room is currently a bright purple and im sick of it. i also has one wall of blue stripes and it reminds me of a circus tent. i want a more sophisticated room. my parents are telling me to go neutral like with tans but i want some color. i really like tiffany blue but im wondering if it would be to much. please help i need a new wall color???Picking the right paint color?
Tiffany blue would not be too much!! My room happens to be very close to Tiffany but brighter. I LOVE it!! It really depends on you. I love the bright color becasue I am really outgoing but the blue reminds me of the beach which is my favorite place in the world. If you really don't know, go to Lowes and get the samples. then put the whole can on the wall(not just a little spot of it). Live with it for a few days. If it becomes annoying, pick a neutral color. You can always paint it beige then put a tiffany horizantal stripe all the way around. That would be cool. Or do beige and get Tiffany curtians, pillows, and accessories. That would be cool too. You really need to test it out yourself. If you really love your sheets, add some brown zebra print things too. Maybe your valences are brown zebra and your curtians are tiffany. You can try to find tiffany zebra too. Recover a cute armless chair with tiffany zebra or brown and cream zebra and a tiffany pillow. Or the other way around.

Hope I helped!!Picking the right paint color?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

    http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/

I think a peach like ';quaint peche'; (# 6330) would look gorgeous with the cream %26amp; brown.
If you want a blue color, try a blue with a tad of bage in it. I agree with your parents, you should get a more tan-ish color. It would probs look nice. But don't get a color too dark. Too dark will make the room look very small. So get a medium color. =]

    Goodluck.

    x
you can paint three walls light blue and the wall with your bed can be light brown. you can add some zebra stripe frames and put some pictures of your friends. and you can put bean bags with animal prints. it will look REALLY cute!!!!!
    Seriously, try black
paint three of the walls a blue (a medium blue) and one farthest from the bed a tan color..kinda like an accent wall...
Find a color that maybe both of you can agree on. They do have a point though, if you go neutral then you can change bedding and stuff and not have to worry...on the other hand paint is not that expensive and easy to change. Also brown and blue is a very classic combination.

So, I would take like a pillow sham or your sheets to the paint store with you and look at different colors against your sheets. Pick one and if at Lowes, you can ask them to make you up an Auditions sampling of paint, it will cost 4 or 5 dollars and is a very small paint can.

Then go to a craft store and get a poster board (largest one you can find) and take the paint and board home and paint the poster board the color you are thinking of. Then put it around the room...look at it morning, noon and night. Then put it in a different place and look at it in all lights. This will ensure that you have choosen the right color of paint and will like it.

I am sure that after all that work, your parents will go along with it especially if they can see that it will look really nice. If not then you can easily enough audition a more neutral color of paint to see how it would look with everything.

Please look at the bumper color since it is more accurate because the light is making the color of the hood look lighter than I want. Thanks.
