Cleaning walls painted dark colors?

I am cleaning walls that are different colors, not White, I am using Mr. Clean and clear water to rinse. But the sponge and rinse cloth but they are never clean like I got it all. I am afraid of damaging the paint. Any help appreciated.

Also should it be different if some are flat paint and semi gloss paintCleaning walls painted dark colors?
You won't ruin good paint, and even cheap paint can take at least a few good scrubbings. Wash from the bottom up to avoid streaking. If the Mr. Clean is too strong, try Murphy's Oil Soap. It is mild enough to bathe in.Cleaning walls painted dark colors?
Use TSP (available at walmart or hardware stores). It is made to use on walls...Mix as directed and then rinse with clear water.

Do not use Mr. Clean Erasers on walls...it will damage the paint..how it works is it takes of a thin layer of paint smoothing it out and removing the stain with the paint..Just don't use them on paint.
use the mr. clean eraser i love it and it works on anything
