What is the best color to paint a small bedroom?

I am going to be moving into an apartment at school in august and i really want to paint the walls of my room. The only problem is that it is small. The colors I will probably have the most of in my room are pink, yellow, white and black (I'm basing them around posters and pictures). Any suggestions would be great! What is the best color to paint a small bedroom?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think ';french vanilla'; (# 7118) would look terrific. What is the best color to paint a small bedroom?
First of all, you need to find out from the apartment owner or manager if it is okay to paint your apartment. Most often it is not. If you do anyway, you will forfeit your damage deposit which sometimes is equal to a month's rent so it's a large chunk of change.

If it is okay to paint, then I would choose a soft buttery cream color. Leave the woodwork white--the combination is beautiful and any other colors work well with it.
Paint the ceiling white. Paint all the walls one color, a light color. Use light colored sheers at the windows. Keep furniture scale small. (no king sized bed or massive double dresser) Keep the bedspread and throw pillow colors light, also.

Furniture with a light cream glaze (French Provincial) will make the room appear larger, also.

No clutter!! That makes a room look smaller!
If it's small, you should go with a light color, like yellow. It will open up the room whereas dark colors, like black, will make the room feel small. Also remember that arranging the furniture in a good way can make a room feel larger than it is.

Its more of a greenish color
White is always a good choice it makes things look clean and simple. Good Luck with school
