Picking the right paint color?

i just recently got new bedding. the sheets are my favorite and they are a cream and brown zebra print. the comforter is a brown satin stripe. my room is currently a bright purple and im sick of it. i also has one wall of blue stripes and it reminds me of a circus tent. i want a more sophisticated room. my parents are telling me to go neutral like with tans but i want some color. i really like tiffany blue but im wondering if it would be to much. please help i need a new wall color???Picking the right paint color?
Tiffany blue would not be too much!! My room happens to be very close to Tiffany but brighter. I LOVE it!! It really depends on you. I love the bright color becasue I am really outgoing but the blue reminds me of the beach which is my favorite place in the world. If you really don't know, go to Lowes and get the samples. then put the whole can on the wall(not just a little spot of it). Live with it for a few days. If it becomes annoying, pick a neutral color. You can always paint it beige then put a tiffany horizantal stripe all the way around. That would be cool. Or do beige and get Tiffany curtians, pillows, and accessories. That would be cool too. You really need to test it out yourself. If you really love your sheets, add some brown zebra print things too. Maybe your valences are brown zebra and your curtians are tiffany. You can try to find tiffany zebra too. Recover a cute armless chair with tiffany zebra or brown and cream zebra and a tiffany pillow. Or the other way around.

Hope I helped!!Picking the right paint color?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a peach like ';quaint peche'; (# 6330) would look gorgeous with the cream %26amp; brown.
If you want a blue color, try a blue with a tad of bage in it. I agree with your parents, you should get a more tan-ish color. It would probs look nice. But don't get a color too dark. Too dark will make the room look very small. So get a medium color. =]

Goodluck.

you can paint three walls light blue and the wall with your bed can be light brown. you can add some zebra stripe frames and put some pictures of your friends. and you can put bean bags with animal prints. it will look REALLY cute!!!!!
Seriously, try black
paint three of the walls a blue (a medium blue) and one farthest from the bed a tan color..kinda like an accent wall...
Find a color that maybe both of you can agree on. They do have a point though, if you go neutral then you can change bedding and stuff and not have to worry...on the other hand paint is not that expensive and easy to change. Also brown and blue is a very classic combination.

So, I would take like a pillow sham or your sheets to the paint store with you and look at different colors against your sheets. Pick one and if at Lowes, you can ask them to make you up an Auditions sampling of paint, it will cost 4 or 5 dollars and is a very small paint can.

Then go to a craft store and get a poster board (largest one you can find) and take the paint and board home and paint the poster board the color you are thinking of. Then put it around the room...look at it morning, noon and night. Then put it in a different place and look at it in all lights. This will ensure that you have choosen the right color of paint and will like it.

I am sure that after all that work, your parents will go along with it especially if they can see that it will look really nice. If not then you can easily enough audition a more neutral color of paint to see how it would look with everything.
