Sounds cool, here are some more ideas. If you remember, Barbara Eden's interior decor in the bottle was rather moroccan in nature, done in fushias and purples with a lot of fabrics.

Over your bed you can make yourself a ';crown'; so to speak. Go to the home depot where they sell wooden table rounds in a variety of sizes. Choose one which will match the scale of your bed (i.e. the largest one will do well over a king or queen sized bed). Cut the round in 1/2. Paint to match your wall color.

Go to the fabric store, like at Joannes or Wal-Mart check out the discontinued bins for fabric you like, choose one in your color scheme and has at least 10 yards on the bolt. You will need another fabric about 5-7 yards or a bedskirt for a twin bed will work as well but it will need to match the other fabric.

The crown will be attached to the wall centered above your bed at a height that is visually pleasing yet allows you to sit up in bed without bumping your head. L brackets mounted into wall mollies work well to support the wood and fabric.

Staple the longer fabric (cut in half long ways) on each side of the rounded edge of the wood, staples won't show because they will be on the top. Scrunch the fabric or make little folds so the fabric looks fuller and both sides should almost meet in the middle.

Use the other fabric cut to a 6-8'; width or the bedskirt as a valance over the longer fabric stapling on the top. You can use left over fabric to give it a finished look by cutting out 2 half moon shapes using the wood as a template to cover the staples on the top and for the inside which you will look up and see from the bed. Spray adhesive will work well to hold the fabric to the wood.

If you want to get real creative, add fringe to the valance and along the long sides of the fabric. Use drapery tie backs on the wall to anchor the side fabric. If you use plain or solid fabric get some stencils of fleur-de-lis and gold fabric paint at the craft store to randomly stencil the pattern on the fabric.

This is a really fun and easy project. I've made several and chose cheap fabric ($1.99 per yard), for under $50.00 a piece. The crown is a beautiful, unique focal point especially for an I dream of Jeannie decor.

Good Luck and have fun!
