If authentic cloisonne, wouldn't the colored paint have a sheen? My colors have a flat paint look...no sheen.

not necessarily. You can make enamel flat my sanding it.

If it's authentic cloisonne there will be metal wire at the border of each color field and the color will be molten colored glass, so a normal metal knife/needle shouldn't scratch it (though if you try this, try it in a inconspicuous place). If authentic cloisonne, wouldn't the colored paint have a sheen? In cloisonne, translucent colored enamel is applied over shiny metal. The metal shines through the enamel, making the ';sheen';. If the metal is missing, or if the enamel is cloudy, then no sheen.
