There actually have been some semi-serious proposals to shoot sulfur aerosols or other white chemicals into the atmosphere to combat global warming - the idea is that they would reflect sunlight before it hits the surface of the Earth. The problem with such ideas is that they require a vast amount of material, and could cause numerous unintended environmental consequences.
I certainly think that is a great way to save on energy bills toward the equator, or in the summer, but what about in the winter, and most everything needs heat to survive anyhow. But They should think about that like on certain buildings and such but not all over the world.
I'm so sorry. I see where you state government is going to out law black vehicles in a couple years. I understand they can stop what is being sold with in the state, but what about all the dark colored vehicles on the roads now, to they increase the taxes for them? Hey! you asked a serious question, so you get one back,,,,Haaaaa..
Well, here in Fargo it is NEVER EVER EVER EVER above 32 degrees anymore. I'm freezing! I wish everything was in black!!!!!!!

because the heat would still get in the ozone layer, the color white isnt powerful enough to shoot thousands of pounds of heat and pressure several miles into space, lol

Our county paints the top of all it's shool buses white to keep them cool. That's a start I think.
